| Andorra la Vella |
Andorra la Vella is the capital of Andorra, located in the south west of the country. it is a high capital and popular ski resort. Its climate is Temperate with cold winters and warm, drier summers. Temperatures range from an average of around -1 °C in January and 20 °C in July. The capital is famous for its shopping, with lots of big tax free shops. Sights also include a fine 12th-century church in the old town (Barri Antic) and the Casa de la Vall, the ancient seat of government. Adjoining the capital is the spa town of Escaldes-Engordany. 10 km from the capital is a town called Canillo. Canillo is one of the parishes of Andorra and is also a town within the parish. It also boasts its new gondola link to the mega-ski resort of Grandvalira. Grandvalira is the vastest ski playground in the Pyrenees. In summer you can wall climbing and canyon clambering.
